Type 1 Licensed Daycare Program

JGS Daycare program offers a full-day curriculum with three day and five day options that nurtures the beliefs and vision of Jesus the Good Shepherd School. Our daycare is a Type 1 daycare licensed through the Louisiana Department of Education and the Louisiana Department of Health. Daycare students use Frog Street Press, an early childhood education curriculum, that provides intentional age-appropriate instruction that is aligned to both federal and state standards. Frog Street Press integrates instruction across all key developmental domains of early childhood education, including weekly lessons in Social Studies, Science, Math, Reading and Art. 
We believe our role is to give our students the best intellectual, spiritual, physical and social outcomes in a safe, loving, and attentive private school environment. Brightwheel software application is used for realtime teacher to parent direct communication and updates. 

• 2 classrooms of 12 students maximum per class
• Full-time daycare aide in each classroom
• Student/teacher ratio is 6/1
• Frog Street Press curriculum
• Must be 2 years old by September 30
